By the time I was 15 I knew I wanted to be in the fitness industry professionally.
Growing up I was involved in a lot of various team and individual sports. Through each one I gained confidence in myself and my teammates.
In my teen years I began to weight train at VFC. I fell in love with the gym and noticed how much I loved to see my teammates and friends succeed. It was then that I realized my passion for fitness was undeniable and that I want to help as many other people succeed as I possibly can.

I focus on functional fitness and sustainability to keep you going well into your senior years!
I will create a personalized program for you by assessing your fitness levels and setting SMART goals for your desired outcomes. We will revisit and revise them for continuous growth.
You can expect a balanced program with both cardiovascular fitness training, strength training for the mind and body as well as a focus on flexibility.

I believe everyone should live a healthy lifestyle by staying active while doing something they love. The gym can be that place for anyone by making it fun, educational, and effective. That’s my goal for each client I work with.

About me:

 My first introduction to a sport was when I was 18 months old my parents put skis on my feet and pulled me around the snow. Growing up I continued to downhill ski along with playing soccer, dance, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Since moving to Invermere in 2013 my passion for mountain sports has further blossomed as I chased a career as a ski instructor and race coach at Panorama Mountain Resort. I spend my days in the winter skiing and my summer evening’s mountain biking through Invermere’s amazing trails. My passion for mountain sports and the desire to improve brought me to the gym. My love for a healthy lifestyle led me to pursue a career in fitness.

 I have lived in Invermere for most of my life. Early on in my life I was always into sports, such as hockey, football, and baseball. While I was not in the best shape of my life (I was actually 245lbs at 6”) playing those sports was difficult with all the extra weight I carried around. So I made a change and hired my own personal trainer where they changed my life completely. That trainer got me in great shape for my hockey tryouts that year, and even though I didn’t make that team, it paved the way for me to choose a career in training others.

What I Offer:

The type of training that I offer is more towards Bodybuilding and Athletics, so whether you’re looking to do a competition or get ready for the upcoming season, I will provide you with a personalized workout program to fit your needs. Also if you’re newer to the gym I will teach you new and effective exercise techniques to maximize your potential, proper gym etiquette, and how to balance your lifestyle.

My goal as a personal trainer is to provide my clients with individual and balanced training that empowers and motivates them to reach their maximum potential.  My focus is simple – strength, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility.  I will develop a program for you that balances these four areas, challenges you and your personal goals.

As a Baby Boomer myself, I am very aware of the needs of Aging Adults and modifying each program according to their physical condition. My greatest satisfaction is seeing people enjoying exercise and benefiting from the physical, mental and emotional effects. My philosophy is that it is never too late to start to improve your fitness. The key is to start small, build up over time and be patient with yourself. Improving your breathing, muscle strength, flexibility and balance will enhance your life and extend your years.”

ABOUT ME: I fell in love with strength training at an early age of 16. It has carried me through life and its challenges like a suit of protective armour. I have personal experience with rehabilitation of the body and know that slow and steady always wins the race. I model my training with the philosophy that lean bodies are won with strength training and healthy eating habits; and building muscle gives people shape in places they want while trimming fat where they don’t. I am positive and upbeat and about as real as it gets! My goal is to help you reach your goal!

Summer is my favorite season, I love a new salad recipe and good clean eats. Country music is my first choice always. I choose chocolate over wine. I love to dance and I love to laugh.
